Google recommends upgrading to the new, safer Firefox 2.0

Post by rbsterli » Fri Dec 08, 2006 10:39 pm

Maybe I've missed something that was new a while ago, but did anyone notice that Google now has a banner (new to me today) that says Google recommends upgrading to the new, safer Firefox 2.0?

It only appears if you are using IE. This aughtta keep Rick busy(er)!

Now that is pretty neat.

I'm sure that they won't put up a "Google recommends Adblock Plus" banner though. :D

I wonder if that is in response to Yahoo doing that to Firefox users? I read about that just the other day. Where IE banners where served to Firefox only users. Personally I can't see what the difference is myself. Everyone was upset that Yahoo was doing that, so should we now be upset that Google is retaliating?

Oh yeah ... thanx for reminding me, Dogg. I've got to make sure that ABP/EasyElement users won't see the IE one.

Too bad that IE users will have to 'suffer' through the Google one, hey? :)
