A tutorial on writing element hiding expressions?

Post by pupil »

Hiya, just been getting into this in the last week and I'm enjoying learning about this whole adblocking expression writing thing now I've jumped ship from Filterset.g to a much more involved community.

Basically, I'm a total novice and I've been trying to figure out how to write rules for element hiding that may be add-able to the EasyElement filterlist. To start with I've been saving the webpage then opening it in Frontpage to see what the code is and what belongs to what, but I'm sure there must be a better way of doing this, and finding out which webpage elements relate to what. Any tutorials, pointers or plugins I should look at/install to help me out here?

thanks in advance!
