google-analytics.com

Post by F4X »

Hi there, I noticed that Chrome always saves cookies from google-analytics.com and keeps them even after my serfing in incognito mode and although I set to remove all cookies everytime after closing Chrome and to block third-party cookies.
The question is: is there any subscription to remove that analytics stuff from all web pages and make Chrome not save its tracking cookies?

This one? https://adblockplus.org/en/features#tracking
I'm using it, but Chrome seems like having strong inbuilt spying features, so it still saves those cookies everytime.

You can try using

Code: Select all

||google-analytics.com^
but this rule could break a lot of pages (it wasnt included in easyprivacy for this reason)

there are a lot of elements blocked but not all of them

Code: Select all

||google-analytics.com/analytics.js
||google-analytics.com/collect
||google-analytics.com/cx/api.js
||google-analytics.com/ga_exp.js
||google-analytics.com/internal/analytics.js
||google-analytics.com/internal/collect^
||google-analytics.com/plugins/
||google-analytics.com/r/collect^
||google-analytics.com/siteopt.js?

Looks like nothing can help, it must be the main Chrome feature - to spy on its users.

Looks like we should blame Stylish extention for that. Once you install it, no matter if you turn "send anonymous data to Stylish developers" on or off - everytime you run your browser, even if you don't visit any sites, you will find cookies from google-analytics.com as I showed on that screenshot previously.
