Verizon Perma-Cookie

Post by Jeremyboy222 »

Hello,

Are you guys able to block the new Verizon 'Perma-Cookies' in EasyList Privacy? (See: http://www.wired.com/2014/10/verizons-p ... al_twitter)

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,

Depends how the tracking is injected, an example or a Adblock plus report would be helpful.

I don't know how I missed this: Verizon is rewriting your HTTP requests to insert a permacookie?
If you connect via Wi-Fi, or a virtual private network, or are talking to a site via SSL, then the UIDH will not display either.
Unfortunately Adblock Plus nor any extension can stop this getting more sites to use HTTPS will though. (I'm looking at you http://forums.lanik.us)
