@@(...)$elemhide rules in EasyList without element hiding

Post by guest »

The "EasyList without element hiding" contains many rules of the form

Code: Select all

@@(some-filter)$elemhide
which are mostly not needed to fix broken pages, and thus have the only effect of potentially displaying other types of unwanted content.
Could these please be removed, except for those which related to anti-adblock?

Pretty much all of them are anti-adblock related though. On the other hand: why shoud they stay when there are no element hiding filters in this variant anyways?

These aren't seem to be listed as such

The anti-adblock related ones would prevent my *custom* hiding filters from tripping an anti-adblock warning.

This would make it unnecessarily complicated for us. I'm not sure this is worth the effort.
