Unfortunately I was unable to pinpoint a single filter causing the problem but it seems to be due to the blocking of one flash ad which they must be using as some sort...

If you head over to http://www.jamieplucinski.com/blog/?page_id=53 you can subscribe to Jamie's Facebook filter set. I'm not sure how well it integrates into Rick's filters subscriptions (redundant filters ??) but might be worth keeping in mind.

The site http://www.thecelebritycafe.com/ has sponsored links that have been blocked by one of your subscriptions. Can someone explain to me why ABP can not stop this. I would have thought if we are not loading any content from the offending site (DoubleClick in this case) we would be fine ?

It seems when ever you do a search on the "PC World" site you get a sponsored links'ish type ad.


Hides it

Granted it's not the biggest or most intrusive ad in history but it's ads none the less !!

The Australian yahoo site has a small "sponsored links" section down the bottom, hiding it frees up a small but useful amount of screen space

I'm not seeing any ads on gmial. I only have one filter active on that site which is an element hide, I do also have "customize google" so I don't know if that is stopping me from seeing some ads.

I have always used the combined EasyList+EasyElement subscription. I was wondering if there was any advantage to using the separate EasyList and EasyElement subscriptions. I ask because on http://easylist.adblockplus.org/ I noticed that only the separate versions are listed.

http://www.monstermarketplace.com/recentlyViewedProductsPage.html I don't know a lot about these sort of things but I would have thought EasyElement would have had some sort of generic rule that would have blocked the sponsored links on the above page. monstermarketplace.com#TD(class=ads) Hides them.

The sponsored Links are still visible on both of the url's I mentioned. Before I could not find one filter that would hide them on every page using the EHH, but now seems to do it, I don't know if the site has changed or I just missed it ??

I just loaded the page again, no visible ads and no sign of them in my blockable items list. 2 totally different ads are in the place where the flash one were, which are blocked just fine

It does not gain any space but it does nicely finish off the job that was already started.

There is a BIG ugly box on the right side of the page with only the word "Advertisement" in it.
The above code gets rid of it nicely.
