Re: Audio, Fonts & WebRTC Tracking You

You can't just pair/group them like that. ScriptSafe is also available for Firefox, but NoScript is not available for Chromium/Chrome. For Chromium, I recommend uBO + uMatrix and if you're fingerprinting conscious then add ScriptSafe to the mix. I don't use Firefox, so I can't recommend a good fit. ...

No, this blocks more than just scripts. It covers all known Fingerprinting features and you can do a lot more privacy wise with this extension.

Re: Cryptojacking

Crypto miners need web-workers to mine successfully. uMatrix is now able to shutdown that API via a new switch introduced in the dev version by Gorhill. You can also use a CSP filter if you're on uBO and restrict the worker-src values.

I never installed any anti-virus software till date and also disabled Defender on Win 10. As long you don't go around running executable files you have no chance of infecting and also running uBO + uMX on Chrome and Firefox takes cares of any malware/adware potentially coming across during the brows...

Google to block third-party code injections in Chrome

Reducing Chrome crashes caused by third-party software Roughly two-thirds of Windows Chrome users have other applications on their machines that interact with Chrome, such as accessibility or antivirus software. In the past, this software needed to inject code in Chrome in order to function properl...

Re: fmovies.to

Crap, Intense, I forgot to update you on that. Those two filters help only because they kill any ability to startup a video stream. The preview image remains, and the video player will only work if those two filters are removed. Remove bmovies.to##script:inject(noeval.js) and the rest are fine. For...

Re: Google adds warning when malicious Extensions take over

Yeah those ones troll you but it's not permanent as you're able to remove them via the extensions page and you can easily distinguish them even before you add them, so no that's not what I meant by harm.

Re: Google adds warning when malicious Extensions take over

Also what would be the point of checking after installing the extension? If there was harm to be done it could be done as soon the extension installs. No extension can cause harm right after installation, it needs to gather data first based on your browsing activity and that takes time, what you're...

Re: Google adds warning when malicious Extensions take over

I didn't mean the ratings, obviously they can't be trusted anymore. There's another way of checking an extension's true motives via a file titled "manifest.json" which is mandatory for all Chrome extensions and can be located in the installation folder of every chrome extension. Open that ...

Re: Google adds warning when malicious Extensions take over

When it comes to extensions, only install those from the devs you trust like gorhill. Most of them tend to either collect data via GA or bundle a crypto miner or simply put adware to further their own agenda. That's the rule of thumb I go by.
