I'm not sure .... All 3 of them were good in there own way: Daredevil: It is probably the most polished of the 3 and very well done visually, but doesn't really talk about it being a web browser. I would think that only people who actually already knew about Firefox would be the only ones who would ...

jr! wrote: you can probably get rid of the *rnm.ca filter.
I don't believe the web site that used to use them (sportsnet.ca) uses
them for ads anymore after introducing their new web site.
I haven't had any hits on that filter & I'm at that web site all the time.
OK, jr! Thanx for the update.

@pond hopper
see, there's another one .... my *_ads/* =only 6. And yet you have a bunch!

@IceDogg
After you listed your sites, I know why my */adlog.* hits a lot .... CNet/ZDNet uses them like 7 to a page. You must hit pretty good on them.

Mines */adframe* (2500 hits) with 4x the hits of the next highest. See, now my */adframe* is only 24 hits. I've mostly been in a lot of different forums since I started hit counting, so I'm sure that most of them have come from there. You really need someone who likes to travel around the web a lot...

@jr! Wow! Now THAT'S a count! I don't even have that one .... but it might be getting intercepted by another string. My biggest 2 hits are: */adlog.* *ad*.googlesyndication* (of course) both around 3500. I guess it depends where you go. If you visit the same sites a lot, of course you will have thei...

I don't normally forward graphics, so I can't comment on that. But I DO have one bug that is similar.

I include my logo in my signature. If I write a NEW message the signature with logo is intact. If I REPLY to a message it will add a signature but the logo disappears. ... it IS a bit odd.

Re: Banner ads in Road Runner web mail

I had to remove the @@|https://* whitelist entry from your EasyList filter in order to block an annoying ad. Within the past couple weeks, my broadband ISP (Road Runner cable) has started inserting banner ads in their web mail pages. The ads are sourced from advertising.com, but the *advert* entry ...

I like your EasyList, whole list is awesome, it's very easy to understand, it's very effective and no false positives. Thank you. Like i said in other forum, it works very good when i surf on Finnish sites. I did see some ads (rare cases so far*), but it's easy to add own rules and it's easy to get...

Question 1: Why @@|http://www.spreadfirefox* is there without .com Oops. I didn't even realize that I truncated it THAT short. Actually, when I tried it the site still whitelisted fine ... adding it really doesn't make a difference though. But I will put the ".com" back in for recognition...

It seems the culprit is an outside ad company. The magic adblock filter is: *inetinteractive* ... it removes all the scripting and imagery EXCEPT for the drop-down menus themselves. It's late here so I'll try and check it out tomorrow to see if I can find out how to kill them. They are form boxes so...

Finally I am wondering why I have twice the filters of the subscription list. If you are going to boards like this one, probably just adding a string called: */avatars/* .... would do it. That would kill all of them here. I would imagine that most boards employ a similar default directory structure. As far as sound goes, I don't think Adblock parses embedded midi or wave file...
