Re: orain.org (reopening previous issue)
It currently appears to be working, for real this time, but they may have removed the geoiplookup request from the site (and I may not have noticed for a few days due to stale browser cache...?) Do not remove any of the added whitelist filters just yet, as this could be a fluke - i.e. they may be te...

orain.org (reopening previous issue)
Sorry if I'm not following the proper etiquette for this situation, but no one seemed to pay attention to the previous thread when I tried to bump it. To summarize, I wrongly stated that the newly-added filters were inapplicable and therefore no problem, when in fact changes to the site caused the o...

Re: orain.org (multiple subdomains) [EasyPrivacy]
This is still an issue, as described in the above post. What additional evidence, if any, do I need to provide to get the appropriate whitelist filters added? For what it's worth, the script that loads these tracking scrips appears to be supplied by the CloudFlare CDN, and unlike most other scripts,...

Re: orain.org (multiple subdomains) [EasyPrivacy]
Actually no, it's not okay anymore - the Google Analytics script was replaced with a Piwik version (URL and filter respectively): https://allthetropes.orain.org/cdn-cgi/pe/bag2?r[]=https%3A%2F%2Fpiwik.orain.org%2Fpiwik.js /cdn-cgi/pe/bag2?*piwik.js which also needs to be whitelisted to avoid the sam...

Google Analytics whitelist on DeviantArt (question)
When and why was DeviantArt added to the list of domains on which Google Analytics is whitelisted? What symptoms were originally noticed as a result of blocking the script? Is an account needed to test this? I'm pretty sure the site's design has had major changes since this whitelist was added, for ...

Re: time.com
Let's consider this closed for now.
This was probably a site bug, in that the site has been modified to handle a failure of the ad script more gracefully. I can disable the whitelist filter(s) from this discussion and still have the page scroll properly. Should we remove the whitelist that we added?

Re: time.com
Again, the problem is that ABP sees the original and rewritten URLs as separate requests, so if only the original URL is whitelisted, the rewritten URL (which is the one really requested on the network) will still be blocked and trigger the symptom in question. I verified that "the rewritten UR...

Re: time.com
No - HTTPS Everywhere is doing its job correctly, in that the rewritten URL returns correct content. However, it needs to be whitelisted separately in ABP, as it is seen by ABP as a separate request and will still cause the original issue to occur if it is blocked (as I have observed - whitelisting ...

Re: YouTube in Fanboy's Social list
Sorry for the absence. I meant YouTube icons on third-party sites, not within YouTube itself (to which I didn't even pay attention): I was referring to filters such as: -icon-youtube. /btn-youtube- /Button-YouTube. /buttons/youtube.gif (and a few others of which I'm not entirely sure). YouTube in Fanboy's Social list
It appears that Fanboy's social-networking list has filters to block various kinds of YouTube icons. Encyclopedia Dramatica moved to the domain encyclopediadramatica.es a little while ago. It looks like some $domain= parameters and/or domain restrictions for element hiding need to be updated in order to block some ads for TorGuard, anonmgur etc. on this domain.

What happened to MonztA's social-networking list?
It appears to have been discontinued & redirected to Fanboy's Social Blocking List sometime within the last day or two. I had been using MonztA's list because it appeared to be more compact & thus have fewer false positives than the similar lists by Fanboy or Hubird (Adversity Antisocial), i...

TechBeat is a news site and does not sell products itself. The content in question doesn't seem very intrusive compared to similar widgets elsewhere. Can you reconsider whether these are considered ads?
