NSFW anon-ib.co
Anon-IB is a porn-focused anonymous imageboard with a static hub-page at anon-ib.com and sub-boards that can be accessed at anon-ib.co, anon-ib.la, anon-ib.ru, and anon-ib.su, and maybe other domains I haven't heard of yet; currently, when you click on any page on the board, a popup is opened to Liv...

Re: EasyList blocks ViewTubePlus in GNU/Linux
You do not have to install ViewTube to use ViewTubePlus, they are both stand alone. VTP is based on VT. I should just merge all three of them then (ViewTube, ViewTube+, and ViewTubePlus), while disabling the more annoying cases like YouTube, Facebook, and NicoVideo (I do know they're not all set to...

Re: EasyList blocks ViewTubePlus in GNU/Linux
Thanks for letting me know about this set of UserScripts. First, install the basic ViewTube script from here (maybe also the "ViewTube+" script): http://isebaro.com/viewtube/?ln=en Then, install this supplemental script targeting streaming porn sites, also known as "ViewTubePlus"...

nothing to do for chrome due to !important property used in css You could try to use a highly targeted CSS selector in your hiding rule, so that it has more specificity than the one used to prop that block-display open, but it certainly sucks that Blink has no support for user stylesheets whatsoeve...

They'll get around to it; also apparently you bumped your thread less than a week after the previous bump, and we can all see the date at the top of each post so you don't need to repeat it.

There was some error in EasyList that overrode all hiding rules with a hiding whitelist rule.

Re: facebook videos
If a URL matches a blocking rule and does not match a whitelist rule, it gets blocked, even if similar URLs from the same host are not blocked.
With that said, this looks like a job for a whitelist rule.

I've seen one other thread here have the status of being "bumped" without a reply posted, but I haven't figured out how to do that; I would like to see whether this or any other fix has been or will be implemented.

The only change ABP will ever make to the CSS is by setting display:none!important on all elements that match the hiding filters and are not whitelisted; this will not be configurable in the filters themselves.

You can't exactly do that with EasyList, but a combination of pixelserv and a router-based HOSTS file and/or dnsmasq setup can do the trick: https://code.google.com/p/jansal/wiki/H ... mendations

1. ABP cannot block cookies directly, but if it blocks third-party content that would normally set cookies, then those cookies are not set. 2. Yes, and also for some situations in which the element-hiding rules are useless, like converting to TPLs for IE9+ 3. I think the primary distinction is langu...

Re: About 'non-intrusive' ads.
There's no point to making something like exceptionrules.txt as a blocklist, because it's whitelisting ads that otherwise would be blocked by the major lists anyway.

Today I decided to update my unofficial TPLs and found that the URL for the Malware Domains ABP subscription had moved, it was blocking my script (and I imagine a bunch of more-aggressive applications), and most importantly, there is a proper TPL available at http://easylist-msie.adblockplus.org/mal...
