Re: lightboxcdn.com

You have to allow

Code: Select all

@@||lightboxcdn.com/static/identity.html$subdocument,domain=cleanplates.com
in uBO until one of the authors sees this post and fixes the issue.

If you think there's something better be my guest and find something. Did I mention it's a Freemium service and most others (I've never seen any others) are likely to be paid. ;-) There are others like Gigya, Janrain, LoginRadius but they are all paid. As you said OneAll is probably the most afford...

Not sure if this is within your control or not, but if so, can you please give that panel element a unique class or id or something so that a conventional hiding filter can take care of it?
I have no control over that, like I said it's a plugin 99.9% of which is done by OneAll.

What do you think about these silent JS miners?
If someone is using my machine or resources for their own personal gain justified or not is not cool with me. Especially when it's done without my consent. Might as well be malware AFAIC.

Does inline script filtering (as in the second filter above) work with Adguard AdBlocker extension in Firefox?
AFAIK inline script filtering doesn't work on AdGuard, but @Alex302 is probably more qualified to answer that question.

Any specific reason for choosing OneAll though, haven't heard much about them. I am guessing there are better alternatives. If you think there's something better be my guest and find something. Re: OneAll Social Login

Everything I'm seeing is in English sounds like a problem with your system/browser setup. Try using a proxy in US to see if it corrects itself. If that works their Geo location sucks as you're on the opposite side of the world from me. Nowhere close to France or Europe if my info is right. I would b...

Also, I was told that somehow my IP address was found under the Stop Forum Spam database.
I was temporarily banned for a short time, but luckily was able to settle the issue. Why was it found there?

I've never spammed.
You'd have to ask the Stop Forum Spam folks that question.

Actually uBlockOrigin is quite different: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/blob/ ... philosophy

uBO creator @gorhill frequents this forum from time to time.

AFAIK Adblock just blocks ads.

Hmm, I'm afraid I don't use Adblock+, but uBlock Origin as noted in the top post. Easylist, Easyprivacy, and uBlock filters.
+1 with @intense and uBO. I don't get any elements like what I saw in your first post.

I figured you know them. Like you said the difference here is "what are you okay with" or basic personal preference.
