Forum Icons

As some of you likely can tell I installed the Forum Icons extension: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/forum_icons/ I've found some regional icons on the web and put them up. If I got the wrong flag please let me know and this clueless American will change it. Not all the icons...

@Lanik, you can unsticky now, Fanboy fixed the prior issue a couple weeks ago. So much for you guys taking down the message, eh? See the post above mine. I'm keeping an eye on this thread. If it gets out of hand it gets locked, so keep it civil please.

I know folks are passionate about this touchy subject, and keep the discussion coming, as long as it's in civilized manner.

EDIT: Off topic bullshit removed. Any other takers?

Re: openshift.org

An exclusion for "hawkular/metrics/metrics" would work better, as this should work across all installations of OpenShift That's a pretty broad exception and has high potential to be abused. Say if a "bad" site is getting blocked on metrics/metrics, if we used your suggestion, all they'd have to do ...

Re: /clarity-*.js blocking VMware vCenter console

EasyPrivacy is an optional subscription on most Ad Blockers. Your options are: A. Disable the filter list. B. Add an exception rule: @@/clarity-*.js$domain=InternalServerName C. Ask VMware to use a different file name. Since the resources are all internal it would be near impossible to add an except...

Re: "Do not automatically parse URLs" disabled and non-functional

I prefer not to manually edit files since that can present problems during major/minor upgrades. I haven't seen anything current from the extension DB @ phpbb.com that will have the same functionality.

Valid question if you ask me. By submitting AdBlock Plus report we can see what your browser sees as well as any AdBlock Plus settings, screenshots etc you may have. AdBlock Plus reporter doesn't work on Pale Moon AFAIK, so if you don't want to install FireFox you can use portable version. Edit: Cla...

Yes no down votes as it creates animosity between the members as evidenced in another forum I belong to.

Re: Reputation Upvote System

Will the voting power increase (how many points I want to give at one go) as reputation increases? No that stays constant. You can only give 1 point to every user now. I see no reason to give folks any more than a single upvote. It conveys the message you're trying to get across and stops the abuse...

Prevents new users from just upvoting every freaking post they find on this site, just because they feel like it. New users would have to contribute something or wait to gain any more points. Now you can only vote once in 12 hours and with 1 point per vote now (changed it now after I saw your screen...

Re: Reputation Upvote System

The points system is called reputation power: Reputation power is something that users earn and spend on voting. New users have low power, active and veteran users gain more power. The more power you have the more you can vote during a specified period of time and the more influence you can have on ...

"Do not automatically parse URLs" wasn't on by default me and smed79 had to do a lot of hacky shit to make it work. @rhanajoy Not much difference the only thing I'm seeing it has some rules which EasyPrivacy doesn't right now.

You can see more info on Spam404 and uBO or ABP here: http://www.spam404.com/blog/block-onlin ... nd-adblock

I also have custom filter lists.
